The United Methodist Church’s Council of Bishops has elected Wesley alumnus Bishop Warner H. Brown, Jr., to serve as its president beginning May 2014.
Today Faith3.org, a website promoting engagement of young people in the church, released its list of Seminaries that Change the World. Wesley Theological Seminary is one of the 17 seminaries and divinity schools listed.
Wesley’s Doctor of Ministry program offers an advanced-level curriculum that combines ministry experiences with the academic resources of the seminary. The Doctor of Ministry program aims to enable pastors to develop an integrated theology of ministry that embraces the total life and mission of the church.

Wesley’s students have moved into the seminary’s new residence hall. This newly completed place of spiritual formation provided welcome for new residents of the 76-bed facility the third week of August. The seminary carefully planned this new facility to foster community and spiritual growth.
