WTS Google Map screen capFrom Virginia: If you travel through Rosslyn, Arlington, etc.
Cross the Key Bridge north into Washington, DC and turn left onto M Street. When M Street bears to the right, it becomes Foxhall Road. Continue on Foxhall Road for approximately 4 miles through a wooded residential area. Foxhall will come to a dead-end at Nebraska Avenue. Turn right at the light onto Nebraska. Follow Nebraska through one light keeping in the right-hand lane. The second light is located at Ward Circle. Travel counter clockwise around 3/4ths of the circle until you reach Massachusetts Avenue, which travels by American University. At Massachusetts Avenue, turn right out of the circle, continue through the light at the entrance to American University, and take the next left onto the driveway of the Wesley campus parking lot. You will then pass the Trott Administration Building on your right. You have arrived! To view a campus map, click here.

From Virginia: If you travel 95 North from south of Washington, DC
Travel I-95 North to the Capitol Beltway (I-495 North) and be sure the sign says north. Take the exit to the right that says I-95 and I-495 North to Tysons Corner. Do not go toward Baltimore. Stay on the beltway through Virginia. After you cross over the Potomac River and enter Maryland, take exit 39, River Road. Once you have taken this exit, turn right onto River Road and travel into Washington, DC. Follow River Road for several miles – you'll cross Western Avenue – until you reach 46th Street. Turn Right onto 46th Street. Follow 46th Street to Massachusetts Avenue. Turn left on Massachusetts Avenue. The Wesley campus will be a short distance up the hill, on your right. Turn right onto the driveway.You have arrived! (If you find yourself in the Ward traffic circle, you have gone too far.)To view a campus map, click here.

From Maryland: If you travel south from upper Maryland
Take I-270 to I-495 toward Tysons Corner Virginia to exit 39, River Road. Or, take I-95 (and at the split take I-495/Silver Spring, not I-95 South or downtown Washington, DC.) Travel on I-495 for several miles. After I-270 merges with I-495 you will take exit 39, River Road. Once you have taken this exit, turn right onto River Road following the signs for Washington D.C. Follow River Road for several miles, you'll cross over Western Avenue. Turn right on 46th Street – the road after Western Avenue. Turn Left on to Massachusetts Avenue. You will travel a short distance up the hill with the Wesley campus on your right. Turn right onto the driveway.You have arrived! When traveling on the Metro

The WMATA website has a Trip Planning tool that is very helpful for navigating the Metro subway system in Washington, DC. The closest Metro stop to Wesley is the Tenleytown station on the Red Line. You can either take the N8 bus toward Glover Park, which loops past Wesley. Or you can take the American University shuttle for the AU community, arriving every 15 minutes at the Metro station. Disembark at the Katzen Arts Center stop and walk one and a half blocks down the hill along Massachusetts Avenue (West) toward Wesley. The campus will be on your left. Wesley Downtown, located Mount Vernon Square

Wesley Downtown is located in the heart of Washington, DC on the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and 9th Street (NW). Wesley Downtown is just steps from the the Convention Center, and blocks from the National Mall, the Smithsonian, the Verizon Center, and Chinatown. The facility is easily accessible by metro via the Metro Center, Mt. Vernon, and Gallery Place/Chinatown Metro stations. For more information, you can visit the site of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority website. Limited parking may be found along Massachusetts Avenue and K Streets. Depending on the event, parking may also be available beneath the new building in the garage off 10th Street. Please note that parking is free for all people attending worship at Mount Vernon Place United Methodist Church.

Transportation from Wesley's main campus to Wesley Downtown

American University Shuttle and Metro Train:
Take the outbound AU shuttlebus located just inside Glover Gate (AU driveway on Mass Avenue across from the AU Katzen Art Center) to Tenleytown Metro. Take Red Line Metro towards Glenmont/Silver Spring. Exit at Gallery Place/Chinatown. Walk .42 mile north to 900 Massachusetts Avenue.

Total one-way fare: approximately $2.25
     
Metrobuses to 9th Street and Massachusetts Avenue:
Take N4 Bus (Farragut Square) at Massachusetts Avenue (west side) and 45th Street.  Exit at Farragut West Metro Station. Walk a short distance east on K Street N.W. to 17th Street. Take the DC Circulator Bus (Black, red and yellow in color) toward Union Station. Arrive at 9th Street and Massachusetts Avenue.

Total one-way fare: approximately $2.35

Metrobuses to 13th and K Streets:
Take N4 Bus (Farragut Square) at Massachusetts Avenue (west side) and 45th Street.  Exit at Massachusetts Avenue and 20th Street.  Take D6 Bus (Stadium Armory Station).  Exit at 13th and K Streets.  Walk .34 mile east to 900 Massachusetts Avenue N.W.

Total one-way fare: approximately $2.70

Metrobuses to 9th and H Streets:
Take N4 Bus (Farragut Square) at Massachusetts Avenue (west side) and 45th Street. Exit at Farragut West Metro Station.  Walk a short distance east to 17th and I Streets N.W. Take 42 Bus (Metro Center). Exit at 9th and H Streets N.W. Walk .22 mile north to 900 Massachusetts Avenue N.W.

Total one-way fare: approximately $2.70
