Ntozake Shange said, “I found God in myself...and I loved her. I loved her fiercely.” Who would’ve thought God could be so beautiful, Black, and feminine? This laborious yet metamorphic journey, namely Wesley Theological Seminary, has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to re-envision God and self.

Wesley Theological Seminary for me I believe, like many of my seminary colleagues, has been a journey mixed with academic enrichment along with spiritual, theological, and practical wrestling. Wesley Theological Seminary expanded my understanding of God by teaching me how to connect my theological learnings with practical practices in my own local context.
