Daniel Chun (M.Div.)
Wesley Theological Seminary for me I believe, like many of my seminary colleagues, has been a journey mixed with academic enrichment along with spiritual, theological, and practical wrestling. Wesley Theological Seminary expanded my understanding of God by teaching me how to connect my theological learnings with practical practices in my own local context. Wesley has taught me that “ministry” is about being faithful to God’s heart always. This means ministry is not just about being theologically intelligent but connecting how our learning of theology practically connects with how we ought to do ministry. The one thing I will remember and be thankful for from Wesley is how practical the courses were. I saw how the school focuses on producing pastors that serve their churches faithfully. During my time at Wesley, I served alongside a Korean church in Northern Virginia.
After graduation, I plan to continue serving this local church. I hope to take what I learned and experienced through my time at Wesley to faithfully serve the local church according to the will of God.
