The Source Collaborative: (re) Imagining Congregational Ministry
“Wherever the river flows, every living thing that moves will thrive.” Ezekiel 47:9
I
n 2020 the Hub launched The Source Collaborative to journey with mid-Atlantic region United Methodist Churches to better understand their context, identify their own markers of thriving, and live into those markers by deepening existing ministries, letting go of stagnant ones, and trying new ones.
After perfecting the process with three cohorts, we’re expanding the invitation to Christian faith communities across denominational traditions and throughout the continental US to join us for the 2024-25 cohort of The Source Collaborative. The streamlined 9 month process has special tracks for cooperative parishes and multi-congregational ministries.
Learning is self-paced with bi-weekly live virtual workshopping sessions. The entire cohort will convene in late January 2025 for a collaborative retreat in the Washington, D.C. area. The learning modules, workshopping, coaching, and retreat are generously underwritten by a grant from The Lilly Endowment Inc. Teams will only pay for travel expenses to/from the Washington, D.C. area.
