The Secret Ingredient is Always Love
Proverbs 16:24, ESV
Asister is your very first best friend. Being that my best friend/sister and I live 1,417 miles apart we always try to find ways to stay connected. We have dedicated one Sunday out of the month to cook a dish together while on Facetime just catching up on what's new in our lives. The last dish we made was tuna casserole, a dish our mother made for us when we were younger. We encourage you to make this dish with a loved one and share quality time with one another.
Ingredients
4 cups Large Egg Noodles
1 Small Onion (diced)
⅓ cup Milk
⅔ cup Frozen Peas
(3) 5 oz cans of Solid White Albacore Tuna (drained)
(2) 10.5 oz cans of Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
2 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese (grated)
1 tbsp Fresh Parsley (chopped)
Pure Ground Black Pepper
Seasoned Salt
Garlic Powder
Bread Crumb Topping
½ cup Bread Crumbs
1 tbsp Unsalted Butter (melted)
½ cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese (grated)
1 tbsp Fresh Parsley (chopped)
Directions
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
In a bowl, combine the breadcrumb topping ingredients. Mix well then set aside.
Boils noodles al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water.
Over medium high heat add butter, diced onion, seasoned salt, garlic powder and pepper. Cook for about 5 minutes then add peas until defrosted.
In a bowl combine the noodles, peas mixture, mushroom soup, milk, cheese, tuna, parsley, salt and pepper.
Mix everything well. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Spread mixture into a casserole dish and top with breadcrumb topping.
Bake for about 30 minutes and until breadcrumb topping browns.
Enjoy a taste of love!
