Summer Housing
On-campus housing is available during the summer terms for students enrolled in summer courses at Wesley or through the Washington Theological Consortium. Summer terms are per week and generally align with Wesley's summer school calendar.
Typically, summer housing includes a Sunday afternoon check in (3 - 9 p.m.) and a Saturday morning check out (10 a.m. or earlier), although courses that require Saturday study may have a different check-in/check-out day.
Housing eligibility is determined by the course for which a student is enrolled (the dates of your course meetings must be the same week as the weeks you request housing) and enrollment is a requirement of the housing application.
All summer housing assignments are in the New Residence Hall, and students may elect either a single room (private) or a double room (shared), subject to availability.
Suite-style bath, shared kitchens, television lounges, study rooms, and card-operated laundry facilities are all available to summer school students.
All rooms come furnished with extra-long twin beds, desks, task chairs, wardrobes, night tables, and central air conditioning.
If you are already a current permanent resident of the NRH, you may be eligible to stay in residence for the duration of the summer. To be eligible for full term Summer I and II housing, current permanent residents must be enrolled for a minimum of 4 credit hours (between the two summer terms). Rates for permanent summer residents may be located on the housing rates page.
For all other summer residents, rates are determined by date of your course. Weeks 1-5 fall under Summer I and weeks 6-14 fall under Summer II. Classes which begin during Summer I and end Summer II will be charged by the week (a two week class that begins week 5 and finishes week 6 will be charged as one week at the Summer I rate and one week at the Summer II rate).
We do not pro-rate summer terms, but you may check out earlier than Saturday morning if you wish.
