Permanent Residency Housing
1. On-campus housing for Wesley or other graduate students that is considered by the student and by Wesley to be the student's primary residence.
2. Student housing that requires a minimum one semester commitment.
3. May be assigned in the Birch Intentional Community, Carroll Residence Hall, or the New Residence Hall for Wesley students, or Straughn Dormitory for local graduate students.
Wesley students without families joining them in residence are housed in our New Residence Hall (NRH), the Birch Intentional Living Community, or on occasion, in Carroll Residence Hall.
The NRH offers single permanent residents the choice between a double or single occupancy dormitory room. Bathrooms are arranged suite-style with double occupancy rooms sharing facilities with another double occupancy room or single occupancy rooms sharing facilities with another single occupancy room.
The Birch Intentional Living Community is located at 908 Massachusetts Ave, NW, and offers a variety of housing options. Double and single occupancy dormitory rooms are available. Bathrooms are arranged suite-style in what we call 'triplets,' with a single occupancy room sharing bathroom facilities with a double occupancy room. Additionally, Birch offers three unique apartments large enough for one or two residents each.
Carroll Residence Hall offers efficiency and one-bedroom apartments. Although these units are prioritized for international students and married couples, respectively, remaining units may be assigned to other students after priority deadlines have passed.
All options are subject to availability.

Wesley is pleased to welcome married couples and families with children to campus housing. We offer apartment units in our Carroll Residence Hall and the Birch Intentional Living Community.
The Birch Intentional Living Community offers two furnished apartment units that can be assigned to married couples. Located at 908 Massachusetts Ave, NW, these apartments offer private bathrooms and kitchens, away from the rest of the Intentional Community. Non-student spouses must agree to participate in the Intentional Community. Units are carpeted and all utilities are included. At this time, children are not permitted to reside in the Intentional Community.
Carroll Residence Hall offers one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments to suit the needs of couples and families. All apartments are furnished and have private bathrooms and kitchens. Units are carpeted and come with window drapes. All utilities are included.
Family housing units are limited, and subject to availability.

The Birch Intentional Living Community (BIC) is our smallest residence hall with room for a maximum of 17 occupants. Located at 908 Massachusetts Ave, NW, this is also our only 'remote' residence hall, supported by Wesley's downtown presence.
Offering units available to single permanent residents and married couples, the BIC allows our students to delve deeper into Christian community. Residents of this hall must commit to a minimum 11 month contract in the space to appreciate the full experience of intentional community life.
Each fall and spring semester, the residents will work with a Wesley-assigned Community Mentor to establish a covenant and set goals and rhythms as a group. The community will host weekly house meetings, regular family meals, worship, and share resources and facility spaces.
Assignments in the BIC are limited and subject to availability.

Wesley offers housing to local graduate students in our Straughn Dormitory. All residents must be 21 or older by move-in, and each resident must verify that housing at their school is not available to them.
Our reasonable rates for this area and options for short term contracts (minimum one semester) further appeal to the needs of transient graduate students.
Straughn Dormitory is a traditional-style residence hall, with independent single and double occupancy dormitory rooms. Community-style bathrooms are available on each floor, and a community kitchen is available in the basement. Options for study, a television lounge, and laundry are also available in the building.
Students interested in housing on Wesley's campus should apply as early as possible, as rooms are limited and fill quickly.
