Advanced Leadership Training - Summer 2025

June 1, 2025 - June 30, 2025

This 4 week course is an educational offering designed to equip health ministers with the advanced knowledge and skills to help them lead and guide health and wellness initiatives within their congregation and community.

Certificate Format:

  • Interactive Zoom (enhanced learning and engagement with the Certificate content and peers) 
  • Self-Paced, Asynchronous Learning Modules (content includes readings, videos, discussion boards, and journaling.)

Tuition Cost:

  • $250 per person (Full and half scholarships are available from the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church)

* Completion of the Wesley Theological Seminary's Health Minister Certificate or equivalent is a prerequisite for the Advanced Leadership Training.

* All modules and learning tasks must be completed for successful completion of the training.

  • CONTACT INFORMATION AND PERSONAL HEALTH MINISTRY STATEMENT RELEASE - The General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church (GBGM) is an educational partner of Wesley Theological Seminary. With GBGM's scholarship support for the training, GBGM is working to promote a culture of health in congregations and communities. GBGM would like to raise awareness about health ministry and share stories about health ministry in various media outlets. As part of these efforts, GBGM would like permission to contact you and possibly share your story. If you accept a scholarship from General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church, Wesley will share with GBGM your contact information (name, e-mail, church, and phone) and health ministry personal statement. Please indicate below if you agree to share your contact information and personal health ministry statement with GBGM.
  • Cancellations must be received in writing to tpruski@wesleyseminary.edu by May 30, 2025 to receive a full tuition refund. Students cancelling on June 1, 2025 on the first day of class will also be charged a $50.00 cancellation fee. Refunds will not be honored once the first module begins. Note: This training does not provide any credits toward any Wesley Theological Seminary graduate degree program.
