REFILL
“Fill me up...til’ I overflow” Psalm 102:15-22
Fill me up…. until I overflow…. I wanna run over…. I wanna run over…. fill me up…. until I overflow…. I wanna run over... I wanna run over…….
Holy God, may your Holy Spirit fall afresh on us, renew our beings with your life-giving water.
The water from which you said we shall drink... and never thirst again. The water from which you said that once we consumed… our lives would know no end.
See Lord our land is dry, our souls are weak, we tire from suffering, and all that we see... but it is you who said... you had the remedy... to give us power to withstand the severity... of the droughts of life.
You promised a water that would never dry out... A water that would not be troubled by drought. A water that sustained... maintained... and contains... that for which the soul has always thirsted... so fill us up until we run over forevermore...
May your waters of life everlasting fall on us like the rains of spring... cause us to sing, like the birds that soar in reverence of you.
Fill us up Oh God, until we overflow... so that we may extinguish the flames of hatred, nourish souls of hope, cool the tongues of the thirsty... so that they too may know... of your Holy overflow.
Let your overflow flood the lands of oppression, sinking every chain that holds the soul captive! May your overflow rust the once mighty ships of sin, may they sink deep... deep... and deeper still... so that we may love and live freely... in your will.
Oh Lord, may these waters everlasting fall afresh on us... drench our souls, rehydrate our hearts... give to us, a brand-new start... this day!
Fill us up! Until we overflow... so that generations to come may know, of the one in whom life everlasting is found... nourish this once dry ground…. in your overflow.
Reflection: In what areas of your life, are you in need of God to send Holy waters of rejuvenation and restoration?
